Race Plans & Updates

RACE PLANS
first things first, I was selected to run the Cherry Blossom Ten Miler! There was a lottery registration and I just found out that I got in! I am very happy about it.

I've seen lots of racing plans while blog surfing and it gave me the kick I needed to organize what I'd like to do in the coming months. Here's what my race calendar looks like:

Ringing In Hope 10k, December 31, 2010 (Brambleton, VA)
Cherry Blossom Ten Miler, April 3, 2011 (Washington, D.C.)
Ribbon Run 10k, April 9, 2011 (Brambleton, VA)

I haven't decided which half marathon to do yet. My first choice would be the LAWS Run for the shelter that benefits the Loudoun Abused Women's Shelter and the other 2 would be fun to run as well...maybe I can do them all!

LAWS Run for the Shelter Half Marathon, Apr ? 2011 (Leesburg, VA) *date not posted yet*
Park to Park Half Marathon, Apr 30, 2011 (Waynesboro, VA)
Virginia Wine Country Half Marathon, Jun 04, 2011 (Leesburg, VA)

OTHER UPDATES
I sent the gift out to my secret blogger exchange buddy and now I am hoping (fingers crossed)that they like what I sent...I want to give props to Jill for organizing the Secret Blogger Exchange. There were 81 of us that signed up!!

FUN VIDEO
My 5yr old son has been practicing one of his songs for his school's Christmas concert tomorrow night. He's been singing this song around the house for the past couple of days and I figured it would be a good thing to capture him singing on video!

SNOW

This is a picture I took looking out of my office window. It's 21 degrees and just started snowing here in VA. Although the snow is beautiful...apparently the roads are a mess! I'm stuck at work right now and haven't had to drive in it yet. The schools are closing 2 hours early. Hello...why haven't they treated the roads yet? What are they waiting for?

I think this weekend is going to be busy...starting today! Hubby wants to take the boys ice skating tonight. Tomorrow I have a Christmas party at daycare and a Christmas party at work, then at night the older boys have their Christmas concert at school. Saturday the older boys have ice skating lessons and then hubby wants to take them skiing, I think he is secretly preparing them for the Olympics!

Such a cute video! My kids have been singing their Christmas concert songs all the time too!
Sounds like you have a good running plan ahead :)
We are going to try and teach the boys to ice skate this week too! Seeing as we are Canadian, it's a must ;)

Do they pass out wine at the wine country half? If so, I might be willing to travel to that one. No dehydration worries there.

It sounds like a great schedule. Good luck with all of your races.

hooray for cherry blossom! the kiddo sings better than me. maybe i should get one of those echo mikes to make my voice sound better? nah, that probably wouldn't help either.
