I was so excited to get these new shoes! I got to wear them in my latest race which was done on New Year's Eve Day. I ran the Ringing In Hope 10K in my neighborhood.New Watch
Hubby also surprised me with a Garmin for Christmas and I wore that in the race too! I really like the watch and I finished the race with a PR!!
The starting line was about 3 blocks from my house. It was a fun race and the course was great. Hubby had the boys and they were cheering for me at different spots during the race. At mile 5 when I ran by they were clapping for me & James yelled, "Where are you going Mama?" I yelled back "I'm running to the finish line". Mike said they all started running after me & he had to chase them. Right before I crossed the finish line I spotted Mike & the boys again, this time Mike was holding a crying James. After I crossed the finish line I ran over to see what was wrong only to find out that Charlie & James had been fighting & Charlie had picked up a hand full of dirt and put it in James' eye...
...and now you know why I run!

Yay for new running shoes and a Garmin! I got lucky and got a Garmin for Christmas, too! LOVE IT! I need new shoes bad so that is next on my list.

shoes and garmin....my christmas exactly.....I have 3 boys to (and a girl) so I totally get the dirt in eye thing.
