My husband just registered us to run the YMCA Bethesda-Chevy Chase Turkey Chase 10K on Thanksgiving morning and I'm really excited. The last race I participated in was the Army 10 Miler in 2008. I've actually run this particular 10K before two other times; once in 2003 and once in 2004 and I really enjoyed it.
I've been kind of sick lately and I have very low energy. From reading so many other blogs it seems as though there are a lot of people that are sick right now. I'm okay to run though, I'm coughing on and off and have a bunch of yucky stuff in my chest, but other than that I'm fine. I am looking forward to participating in a race, it's been so long since I've done one. I've been reading everyone else's race reports and I'm constantly wanting to sign up for stuff. I feel like these events are getting to be so expensive now and I have to pick and choose which ones I really want to do. I'm happy to be running this one because hopefully then I won't feel so bad for all the stuff I'm going to eat and drink later that day!!
To everyone running, biking, walking, swimming, eating and drinking on Thanksgiving Day, have fun and enjoy!!
